Financial Need Verification
To ensure that need-based scholarships are awarded fairly and consistently, applicants may be required to provide documentation verifying financial need. All submitted information will be kept confidential and reviewed only by authorized Scholarship Committee members.
Applicants may submit one or more of the following documents:
First page of the most recent IRS Form 1040 (Social Security Numbers and sensitive account information must be redacted)
FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) Summary
Documentation of qualification for Free or Reduced-Price School Lunch
Documentation of participation in SNAP, WIC, TANF, or similar public assistance programs
Financial need verification documentation will be required prior to scholarship award disbursement. Additional supporting documentation may be requested if necessary to evaluate financial need.
Submission of financial documentation does not guarantee receipt of a scholarship award. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need, applicant qualifications, available funding, and Scholarship Committee review.
The New England Snowboard Foundation is committed to protecting applicant privacy and handling all financial information responsibly and securely.
